Who Loses Out in Wachovia Sale to Citi?

Since 2003, Wachovia was involved in 29 separate deals with a combined value of $47.5 billion, relying on lawyers from Sullivan, Simpson Thacher, Alston & Bird, and others for the work. The bank's litigation roster is filled with several other Am Law 200 firms. Who's likely to miss the work once the sale to Citi goes through?

Ashurst, Herbert Smith, Slaughters, and Freshfields Advising on Bradford & Bingley Nationalization

The four British firms are advising on a deal that will see the U.K.'s largest mortgage lender partially nationalized and the company's retail deposit business sold to a subsidiary of Spanish banking giant Banco Santander for $1.1 billion.

Amidst Financial Crisis, Shareholder Suits on Hold
