New York attorney general Andrew Cuomo has received substantial campaign contributions from lawyers, Bloomberg reports, including from ones representing clients being investigated by his office. Is that legit? We asked some ethics experts.

Linklaters Asia Head Leaving for J.P. Morgan

Former New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani has been all over the airwaves this week, leading some to speculate that a big political announcement is in the works. Another Bracewell & Giuliani partner did make a major announcement--one his Republican supporters didn't want.

Like other Am Law ambassador nominees, Adelman was a top bundler for Obama's 2008 presidential campaign. Another Am Law IP Partner Leaves for Plaintiff Pastures
Large plaintiffs firms aren't done recruiting patent lawyers to their ranks. Bernstein Litowitz announced late last week that former WolfBlock and Cozen O'Connor IP partner Joshua Raskin is joining the firm.

White House Counsel Greg Craig Resigns
White House counsel Gregory Craig, the former Williams & Connolly partner recently rumored to be on his way out of the administration, has officially resigned from his post. Craig will be replaced by Perkins Coie partner Bob Bauer, a legal adviser to the Democratic National Committee and to President Barack Obama.
