The Churn: Lateral Moves and Promotions in The Am Law 200

DLA Piper's Florham Park, N.J., office is welcoming three new partners to the firm's litigation practice. JOHN PENDLETON, ANDREW BUNN, and KATIE GUMMER join from McCarter & English. Pendleton works on financial services litigation, while Bunn handles sales practice, ERISA, managed care, and regulatory disputes. Gummer represents clients from the financial services and insurance industries.

The former U.S. undersecretary of Commerce for industry and security, MARIO MANCUSO, is now a partner in the New York and Washington, D.C., offices of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson. Mancuso specializes in international security matters and government regulation of international economic activities.

Am Law Daily sister publication The Recorder reports that Greenberg Traurig has added VERNON WINTERS and NICHOLAS BROWN as partners in the firm's patent litigation practice. Both join from Weil, Gotshal & Manges and will be based in San Francisco. 

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn announced the arrival of partner SEAN ETHERIDGE to the firm's corporate and securities department. Previously with Shefsky & Froelich Ltd. in Chicago, Etheridge will be based in Ann Arbor. He will concentrate on M&A, private equity and venture capital, and corporate finance.

The Recorder reports that two new partners will be joining Jones Day's San Diego office after leaving McDermott, Will & Emery. DAVID GAY and ASTRID SPAIN focus on life sciences issues. Gay is a pharmaceutical and biotechnology IP attorney, and Spain deals with patent counseling, prosecution, and litigation.

Finally . . . IRA SCHREGER is now an intellectual property partner in the New York office of Vinson & Elkins. Most recently with Loeb & Loeb, Schreger counsels clients in technology-centered transactions, with an emphasis on the life sciences sector.

BERNARD SHEK is also joining the firm, arriving from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom as counsel. Shek handles intellectual property disputes and high-stakes business litigation.
