OTS Approves Private Equity Buy of New Jersey Bank

New York-based private equity firm J.C. Flowers & Company has received approval from the U.S. Office of Thrift Supervision to acquire Saddle River Valley Bank. The deal is the latest in a series of transactions blending the interests of banks, private equity, and government regulators.
