Eight Firms Advising on Future of U.S. Auto Industry

Cahill, Akin Gump, S&C Caught up in Bermuda Reinsurance Wars

Last month, one Bermuda-based reinsurer agreed to acquire another in what experts called a seldom-seen "take-under" because of the low price involved. The Bankruptcy Files: BI-LO, Prepacks for Charter, Herbst Gaming

Kirkland & Ellis and Vinson & Elkins have added two big bankruptcy assignments to their caseloads: Charter Communications and southern supermarket chain BI-LO, respectively. Curtis Mallet, Davis Wright, Nelson Mullins, and Gordon Silver have also landed Chapter 11 roles, while Las Vegas-based Herbst Gaming is paying a list of law firms that would make My Rich Uncle envious.
