Study Shows U.K. Firms Dominate International Finance Rankings

The International Financial Law Review (IFLR) has published its 19th annual edition of IFLR1000, a guide to the world's leading financial law firms. The directory covers international markets for firms specializing in various areas of corporate finance, such as capital markets, banking, M&A, and restructuring and insolvency.

We reviewed some of the data to find that U.K. firms frequently scored the highest rankings. (In addition to the U.K., IFLR also looked at Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, Latin America, Canada, and the United States.)
IFLR ranked firms on a Tier 1 through 4 scale. Here's a breakdown of those firms that came in at "Tier 1" in their respective regions:
